Learn how to restore vintage furniture in a friendly community setting!

This workshop is run over two sessions of 3½ hours each.

This is a beginner’s class, so all experience levels are welcome. We provide all tools, materials, snacks & drinks (& goodie bags)!

What you will learn:

  • Preparing your piece for restoration
  • Fixing stains & scratches
  • Veneer repair
  • Removing old finishes
  • Finishing & protecting your piece
  • Upkeep & maintenance
  • Tips & tricks of the trade (& what to look for in vintage furniture)

Session 1:  March 20 (Thursday), 18:00-21:30
Session 2: March 27 (Thursday), 18:00-21:30

What to bring:

  • A suitable piece of vintage wooden furniture - something that you can easily bring to the shop by yourself, for example a small coffee table or night stand. Look for furniture with stains, scratches, or veneer damage - it's so rewarding to see the transformation from your restoration efforts! (See the pictures for examples).
  • Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty - we will be working with materials that can stain your clothes and these stains will NOT come out in the wash.

To make things easier, you can bring your piece to the workshop a few days before the first session and you can leave your piece at the workshop between sessions. After the second session you may need to leave your piece in the workshop for a few days as the oil you will apply has to dry.

Not sure if you can make it? Please read our cancellation policy!
